Many were so disappointed that the night king just turned out to be a man with no story! At least he could have put on some good fight, some said. ‘Well..no need he has the army of the dead right. Who cares?’
This was the one episode where we could see the night king for so long. He seemed to be really busy all the time, creating more white walkers I guess!
Some thought okay, let everyone die and join the army of the dead. That makes sense right? Who cares about the throne after death.
Everyone was coming up will all kinds of prophecies about the night king. Some said he is a Targaryen which was believable to a large extent even though it turns out to be wrong considering the timeline of events.
Then there were others telling Jon snow is night king, Bran is night king. Thank God! I didn’t come across anyone telling Tyrion is night king.
All the hype and attention was on knowing who the night king was. Everyone was looking for a flashback story about him. A reason to kill everyone. There is a story behind every king, they believed. Turns out he was just trying to have fun. Cool!
Maybe we were just missing the point. He was dead already and we have seen several times that once the dead are awakened they don’t really remember anything. Then how can they remember their family and fight for the throne (considering the night king is Targaryen prophecy).
Anyway Arya was right all along. ‘Anyone can be killed.’ Even the already dead ones. Seems like many characters were born to serve this purpose except the ones who were fighting for the throne. They are still alive to fight with Cersei for the throne. Hope that goes well too!
Anyway I believe episode 3 was epic! This was what we had been waiting for from the beginning. Finally everything makes sense and everyone had a purpose. Jon snow said there is only one war that matters and now they have won it. Guess the next one matters more now!
